Thank you for fifteen
incredible seasons, Canada!

Are you a passionate programmer with a love of sport? A love of Canada? Do you know someone who is? Perhaps someone who has previously participated in a Play On! event?Would you (or they) like to have an opportunity to contribute to the future of Play On! and to mass participation sport worldwide in a meaningful way?

TournPro™ is a sport administration platform that is being developed to facilitate a new business model for mass participation sporting events. The principal initial purpose of the platform is to support Play On! Canada and its national street hockey programming, with it aiming to return to nearly two dozen communites across the country in 2022. The platform will be refined through this nation-building, grassroots sport project and will then also be made available to other mass participation sport organizations all over the world.

This is a remote volunteer opportunity.

We are looking for individuals who love sports and have an intermediate-to-senior level understanding of C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, JavaScript, and/or experience with Swift and Kotlin. Prior work or co-op experience with a payment processor, ecommerce platform, or national retailer is preferred.

With Play On! Canada being a volunteer-led not-for-profit organization, this opportunity would start as a volunteer (full-time or part-time) opportunity. As an early member of the team, you will play a critical role in the direction of the organization and help shape the future of sport in the country. Post-secondary students who are requried to complete an internship or co-op term as part of their program, are encouraged to apply.

Send a brief email that is addressed to Rob Mitchell at, outling your availability (i.e. how many hours you can contribute per week) and why you are interested in joining the team.
